LW6 is a hypoxia-inducible factor 1(HIF) inhibitor. In anoxic environment, LW6 can effectively inhibit the accumulation of HIF-1α by degrading HIF-1α, and does not affect HIF-1α mRNA level. The IC50s of LW6 inhibiting HIF and MDH2 expression were 4.4 and 6.3 μM, respectively.
