Berbamine (BA, BBM) dihydrochloride is a dibenzyl isoquinoline natural product isolated from the Chinese herb alamite. It is a novel inhibitor of bcr/abl with potent anti-leukemia activity and is an inhibitor of NF-κB. Berbamine (BA, BBM) dihydrochloride inhibits the growth of cancer cells and induces apoptosis in human myeloma cells by targeting Ca² + /calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII).
