THFDM has diol functional group containing oxygen tetrahydrofuran ring structure and symmetry. It is a kind of derivative with high added value, which can be used as green, low toxicity and degradable bio-based solvent. THFDM can also be used as a monomer for the preparation of bio-based polyester or polyester polyols. In addition, THFDM can be used to produce high-performance diesel/gasoline additives by esterification/etherification.
