KN-62 is a potent and specific CaMKⅡ inhibitor with a Ki value of 0.9 nM. It is also a non-competitive purinergic receptor P2RX7 antagonist (IC50=15 nM). KN-62 is highly selective to CaMKⅡ, compared to PKA, PKC and MLCK. CaMKI and CaMKIV were equally inhibited, and the Ki value of inhibiting CaMK V was 0.8 μM.
