CLS-PEG-NH2 is one of the reactive cholesterol PEG derivatives with primary amine group. Cholesterol is an essential lipid component for the establishment and maintenance of basic animal cell functions in scientific research experiments. It is one of the components of animal cell membrane structure, which can establish appropriate membrane permeability and fluidity in animal cells. In addition to its structural function, cholesterol is an important precursor of bioanabolic steroid hormones, bile acids and vitamin D. Cholesterol is a hydrophobic molecule with very little water solubility.
