Moxapride, known as 4-amino-5-chloro-2-ethoxy-N -[[4-(4-fluorobenzyl) -2-molloline] methyl] benzoamide, is a highly selective 5-HT4 receptor agonist, mainly in the stomach and duodenum. It is a selective 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT4) receptor agonist, and is mainly used in clinical practice for the relief of chronic gastritis, functional dyspepsia, reflux esophagitis and a series of gastrointestinal symptoms associated with surgery.
