Hispidulin (Dinatin), a naturally active ingredient found in many traditional Chinese herbs, has inhibitory activity against oncoprotein kinase Pim-1 with an IC50 value of 2.71 μM. Hispidulin induces apoptosis through mitochondrial dysfunction and inhibits the P13k/Akt signaling pathway in HepG2 cancer cells. Hispidulin plays an anti-osteoporosis and reduced bone resorption role by activating AMPK signaling pathway.
