DAUDA (11-(dansylamino) undecanoic acid) is an environmentally sensitive fluorescent fatty acid analogue. DAUDA enters the binding protein by changing its intensity and fluorescence emission spectrum. DAUDA was used to determine the relative affinity of natural fatty acids to the polycrystalline form of Schistosoma Mansoni Sm14 fatty acid-binding protein.
