DMOG (Dimethyloxalylglycine) is an antagonist of alpha-ketoglutarate cofactor and an inhibitor of HIF prolylhydroxylase, which stabilizes and accumulates HIF-1α protein in the nucleus and acts as an agonist for HIF-1α. DMOG can increase autophagy.
Brand: BCM
Target: HIF/HIF Prolyl-Hydroxylase; HIF; Autophagy
Signaling Pathways: Angiogenesis; Autophagy; Chromatin/Epigenetic; Metabolism
In Vitro: DMOG shows only weakly active in the microsomal system, but efficiently suppresses hydroxyproline synthesis in intact cells. DMOG reduces FGF-2-induced proliferation and cyclin A expression by inhibiting prolyl hydroxylase activity in HPASMC.
Melting Point: 46-48°C
Boiling Point: 179-182 °C(Press: 12 Torr)
pKa: 10.55±0.46(Predicted)
Solubility: Soluble in DMSO; Soluble in Water; Solule in Ethanol.
GHS: GHS07
Isomeric SMILES: COC(=O)CNC(=O)C(=O)OC
