Fexaramine is an effective and selective farnesoid X receptor (FXR) agonist with EC50 of 25 nM. It is not active against hRXRα, hPPARα, hPPARγ, hpparδ, mPXR, hPXR, hLXRα, hTRβ, hRARβ, mCAR, merγ and hVDR receptors.
