Homoplantaginin (Hispidulin-7-glucoside) is the major flavonoid in the Chinese herbal medicine Salvia miltiorrhiza, which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Homoplantaginin inhibited TNF-α and IL-6 mRNA expression and phosphorylation of IKKβ and NF-κB.
